Analytics
How do Analytics & Recommendations Work?

Gopnik’s analytics dashboards aggregate your transaction history into high‑level patterns and compute simple heuristics to offer suggestions. We analyse anonymised data such as the amounts you swap, deposit or stake, categorise assets by risk and yield, and then produce charts and recommendations. These insights are meant to help you understand your spending habits and inform your investment decisions. You can opt out of analytics collection at any time in Settings. In future releases, anonymised data may be used to train machine‑learning models that provide more personalised risk scores and strategy recommendations.

DeFi
Managing DeFi Risk

Decentralised finance offers attractive yields but also carries risks. Impermanent loss occurs when the price ratio between two pooled assets changes; your share of the pool may be worth less than if you simply held the assets. Smart‑contract vulnerabilities, protocol exploits and insufficient liquidity can lead to loss of funds. Always research the projects you invest in, diversify your holdings and only allocate capital you can afford to lock up. Gopnik Wallet provides risk indicators and encourages prudent allocation through its analytics features.

What are Hooks and Yield Strategies?

Hooks are small smart‑contract scripts that execute on the XRPL when certain conditions are met. They can enforce compliance rules, trigger automated rebalancing or perform yield harvesting. Yield strategies use hooks to compound staking rewards or adjust liquidity across pools without manual intervention. When you opt into an auto‑compound strategy, a hook may automatically re‑stake your AMM dividends, maximising your yield. Dynamic rebalancing strategies move capital between pools based on yield rates and risk targets. All hooks are audited and sandboxed to prevent misuse; you can manage your strategies in the admin panel.

Getting Started
What is Gopnik Wallet?

Gopnik Wallet is an open‑source XRP Ledger wallet that lets you manage your XRP and issued tokens, participate in liquidity pools, trade on the integrated DEX and explore NFTs. It is designed with security, privacy and ease of use in mind. You can import existing wallets or create new ones, set up multi‑signature accounts and explore decentralised applications built on the XRPL.

Security
How do I enable two‑factor authentication?

Enabling two‑factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account. Go to **Account Settings** and click **Enable 2FA**. Scan the QR code with an authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator or Authy) and enter the six‑digit code to confirm. Administrators are required to enable 2FA before they can access the admin dashboard.

Understanding Passkeys and Passwordless Login

Passkeys are a modern, phishing‑resistant way to authenticate without a password. They use public‑key cryptography and hardware or biometric authenticators to prove your identity. When you register a passkey with Gopnik Wallet, your device stores a private key and the server stores a public key. During login, the server sends a challenge that can only be answered using the private key on your device. Passkeys eliminate the need to remember or enter passwords and cannot be reused on other sites. We recommend registering at least one cross‑platform security key as a backup in addition to platform passkeys on your phone or computer.

What are multi‑signature accounts?

A multi‑signature (multi‑sig) account requires multiple parties to approve transactions. Instead of a single private key, the account has a list of signers and a threshold (M‑of‑N). For example, a 2‑of‑3 multi‑sig requires any two signers to approve a payment. Multi‑sig accounts reduce the risk of unilateral compromise and are recommended for organisations or high‑value accounts.

Trading
How do I swap tokens on the XRPL?

To swap tokens, navigate to the **Trade** page. Select your funding wallet, choose the token you want to swap **from** and the token you want to swap **to**, enter the amount and choose *Market* or *Limit* order. The wallet will fetch a quote and display the expected output. When you confirm the swap, the transaction is submitted to the XRPL. For IOU tokens you may need to add a trust line first.
